I have been practicing my photography skills so I decided to take Kaiden outside and do a little photo shoot!!! He loved absolutely loved it and posed for a lot of pictures!

It was a blistering 99 degrees outside, you know one of those day when you feel like you have an electric blanket draped over your shoulders, the occasional breeze was a reminder of the cool comfort of why I should have stayed inside the car. The plan was a quick trip to the Zoo and then have the party at the Mossy Head park.

We were all sweating and red in the face by the time we got through the Zoo gates.

Kiera greeted us by giving the rundown on the "rain deer" and then the quickest trip to the zoo began.

Kaiden enjoyed harassing the animals. His Aunt Brandie didn't think that was a very good idea. ;)

As most of you know we cloth diaper both of our babies!! Its a great way to save money, very good for the earth.. and the diapers are just down right cute! LOL.

I guess its just to be expected with an almost 2 year old.

After making this post, I realize that his hair looks like CRAP alot of the time. (oops)

It just melts my heart!! Who would think that the day would come when Elizabeth would crawl around after her brother. As soon as she is put on the floor she instantly crawls in his room and starts eating his toys. LOL

First off, I wanted to thank every for voting in my poll!! I really appreciate it!!!

Just wanted to give everyone a little update on the kids. Kaiden is as bad as ever. LOL He is trying his hardest to talk... but I cant understand a thing he says.

He says "Night" and "bye" when he goes to sleep at night. The other night he repeated "I love you" but it sounded like "NNAA NNUUU".

He has started walking around the house with his hands behind his back and would stay outside all day long if we would let him.

Elizabeth is flopping all over the place (just currently flopped on the kitchen floor. Silly Girl.) She is getting the mechanics of crawling down. But has yet to really make any forward movement.

Well, I have been working on them since before Christmas but they are finally finished!!

Kaidens pair of Longies!

Now for those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about. (lol) They are made from wool yarn. They serve as a diaper cover (we cloth diaper) and he will be wearing them to bed.

Now you ask yourself "how can yarn keep wetness in??" Well, somehow wool is *water resistant* I have to treat them with Lanisoh to make them even MORE water resistant and he can wear them overnight and wont get the bed wet.

Its pretty neat! :)

I realize I still haven't posted pictures of his new night time diapers that he will be wearing under these.. but they are in the wash so I will do that during their nap!

Why do I do these things to myself?!?

So my cousin's baby shower is tomorrow at 1 p.m. I wanted to make her a baby blanket, but it wasn't doable. SO so I have very little money (OK, I have no freaking money, but who really cares?) I got the bright idea to buy a pack of diapers and make a diaper cake to go with her pack of newborn onsies.

Ugh. I'm going to show up tomorrow sleep deprived, blind (from me poking out my own eyes) and fingers bleeding. Meanwhile my sister rolls up, nicely rested and perfectly manicured, with a perfectly wrapped gift that she picked up at the store today. (insert humongous eye roll)

Will I ever learn? Or will I continue to torture myself with this crap?!?!?

Oh well, back to rolling.

and I have only been using it for 1 night.

My new serger, that is. I have concluded it will be the death of me. I have an enormous headache and my eyes are bleeding, but I finally figured out what was causing the horrendous loops on the back of my fabric. LOL

I'm currently making Kaiden new night time diapers, and then I am moving on to my newest orders. :) (pictures soon)

The Diabolical Purse

So, my niece's purse.... its taking forever, and making my wrists and thumb hurt. But you know, its totally worth it!! I really hope she likes it, but I have this feeling that if I don't put some sort of princess fabric on the inside, its gonna end up in my sisters closet!! LOL

Here is the progress so far!

Here is an attempt to show you the coloring difference. Its crocheted with two strings of yarn. One baby pink and one purple. You cant really tell the difference... but it makes it look nice and its nice and sturdy.

So, both the kids are sleeping and I am sitting her crocheting Christmas presents. (not much money this year so lots of homemade gifts this year) I am currently working on my Niece's purse. I made her a little "chap stick holder" (at least that is what it was named after I was finished with it) and I am making her purse to match. I still have to make her one of two more things, my nephew a few things, my sister and my mom some stuff. I have NO IDEA what to make my brother in law or my father, so we may end up forking out some money for them.

But as I am sitting here I am trying to figure how I thought I could get all this done and still take care of my two kids.

I guess we shall see how it ends up.

Yep, you saw that right. We are a mixed race family. Got a problem? Then discontinue ready now. I don't need any negativity....

I am a mom of all trades. I cook, clean, crochet, sew and many many more things.

We are your average dysfunctional family... Kaiden is your average toddler. Lots of bumps and bruises, constantly running around and talking his head off (even though most of it isn't English). Elizabeth is a very high maintenance little girl. She wants what she wants, when she wants it.

I have been debating creating this blog for some time now. Not quite sure what I would write about or if I would even be any good at it. As you can see I finally decided to start it and after many tiring hours of trying to figure out a name.. here I am!
